IPOB Leader did not sack Ejimakor as his Special Counsel, family confirms.

The family of the detained IPOB Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has asserted that he did not sack his Special Counsel Mr Aloy Ejimakor.

This assertion was sequel to  the press statement reportedly issued by the IPOB Publicity Secretary Emma Powerful few days ago.

The Sack allegation came on the heels of Ejimakor announcing that one Terry Waya issued a threat to him , a threat that was interpreted in some quarters as an assassination threat.

Kanu’s family denied the sack in a statement dated 2nd August 2023 which Kingsley Kanunta Kanu issued from Germany with a tag ” RE: Barrister Aloy Ejimakor Remains The Special Counsel to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu”.

Kingsley in the statement informed the public ” we, the family of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu state categorically that the Press Statement by the said Emma Powerful is false and defamatory in its entirety and accordingly, Barrister Aloy Ejimakor has not been sacked as a Special Counsel to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the IPOB. He thus remains such Special Counsel in good standing until Mazi Nnamdi Kanu says otherwise”.

He added ” for the avoidance of any doubt, Barrister Aloy Ejimakor personally and physically met with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu just few days ago on 24th July, 2023. And on 27th July, 2023, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu met with my younger sibling. The main event of both visitations was the standing Direct Order of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on termination of Sit-At-Home which he had issued through Barrister Aloy Ejimakor on 24th July”.

But yesterday, Ejimakor announced that the said Waya tendered an apology to him and that he ( Ejimakor) also accepted it.

According to the IPOB Special Counsel ” I have given Waya permission to publish the Screenshots that bear the details of his apology to me and I ask all that are currently engaging him in my defense to back down”.
